A pencil sketch done from a mag picture of someone famous somehow, except I have no idea who she is. I'm not much on keeping up with celebrities.

Un sketch fait d'après une photo de magazine, apparemment une célébritée, sauf que je n'ai aucune idée qui est cette personne en question. Vous savez, moi et les célébritées...

IF: Red

The RED hot desert. First the actual illustration done in crayon, then I had a little fun with the scanner.

IF: Rouge. Le désert rouge de chaleure. Le premier est l'illustration. Pour le reste, je m'amuse avec le scanner.

Finished book!

Whoohoo!!! As of today 4:30pm, volume 2 of the A Cappella trilogy is done! Actually, I should be more precise in saying the english color version is done... details. Here is a little sketch I did to celebrate.

Hourah! Le deuxième tome de la série A Cappella (3 livres) est fini depuis 4H1/2 cette après midi. A vrai dire, la versio couleur anglais est fini -détails, quoi.
Voici un peut croquis que j'ai fait pour célébrer.

Newspaper boy #3 & 4

You know how you wake up in the morning with a totally random thought? Well, that's just what happend. I remembered the newspaper boy series I started way back when I first began this blog and how I never put up the following sketches.

Ca vous arrive de vous révèyer soudainement le matin et de vous rapeller de quelque chose tout à fait au hazard? Et bien c'est juste ce qui m'est arrivé. Je me suis rapellé d'une série commencée il y a quelque temp, à la naissance de ce blog, et du fait que je ne les jamais mise en page.







Mind you, I must admit only 4 got done -I'm always full of good intentions and then other projects get in the way -like working on publishing an upcoming comic book trilogy. More soon.

J'admet n'avoir completé que 4 dessins -je suis toujours pleine de bonnes intentions et puis voilà, autre chose arrive et c'est fini. Je doit dire que l'intéruption est dut a une série de 3 BD au quelle je travaille en ce moment.

2007 & IF: Buzz

2007! Whoohoo!!!... Resolutions anyone? Come now, we all do them. Let me hereby state that as my 07 resolution, I will participate in the Illustration Friday each week! :-)

IF: Mask

It is thrusday evening, 8:12pm... just in time for this week's Illustration Friday!

Mask: beneath the many masks we wear, we are all as unique as the snow flake.

Il est 8 hr 12 ce jeudi soir... juste a temp pour IF de cette semaine.

Masque: sous les nombreux masques que nous portons, nous somme tous aussi extraordinaire que le flocon de neige.

Fort Worth sketches

Slacking, slacking.... yes, it's been a while since I posted. So here. A recent trip to Fort Worth allowed me a detour through the Botanical Garden, a place I had been wanting to visit.

First, a stop at the Tropical Biosphere.

It was just amazing to walk around in there. Huge plants, very humid, obviously, with several somewhat alien looking plants. Something you might imagine coming out of the latest alien hollywood flick.

This one is the King Fern.
The stalks are actually hairy! And the young growth looked like an embryo, all curled up ready to come crawling out. I'm telling you... alien babies, right there in Fort Worth, Texas!

And then off course, the Japanese Garden.

Beautiful, as all Japanese gardens are prone to be.
