Christmas Cards

I've been having fun creating Christmas cards for the Greeting Card Universe site.
For the Christmas series in particular, I make them in English, French, and Spanish, so you can pick your prefered language.

The original drawing for this one was done with India ink. Then I scanned it and played with Photoshop to see what I could do. I like making them in series, with several color options -4 actually.

So any cards of this particular type should end up with 4 choices of main color.

I've got 2 series done and uploaded to date. More to come, off course. :)


Je m'amuse a créer des cartes de voeux pour le site Greeting Card Universe.
Pour ce qui est celles de Noël, je les fais en 3 langues: anglais, français, et espagnol, comme ça vous pouvez choisir.

Celle-ci dessus a été d'abors faite à l'encre de chine puis passé au scanner. Ensuite, je m'amuse avec photoshop pour voir ce que je peux en tirrer. J'aime les faire en série et finis toujours avec 4 couleurs., au moins pour ce genre de déssin.

Il y a deux séries de faite à présent, avec bien sur d'autre à venir bientot. :)

Greeting Cards

I have just opened an account with Greeting Card Universe.
I am learning the site at this time, playing a bit with a window design to see how the whole thing works, and do plan on adding plenty of cards, on a regular basis, so do visit.

I'll post updates from time to time.

This is the tree design I drew for IF this past week. I uploaded it to Zazzle and have been creating fun T-shirts, magnets, buttons, bags, etc. I really like the way it turned out, so there's be more.

Livestock Show sign

I'm re-doing the Live Stock Show sign for the FFA group, here at the high school where I teach.

It's have a sheep, a goat, a steer, and a pig once completed. Here's the progression:

I'm feeling the desire to get back to drawing these days, so I did just that. :-)

These two are for an Active Life series that will be displayed on my Zazzle Art Gallery.

Neglected blog -busy busy

This poor little blog has been much neglected for a long time... that's because I have be so very busy with everything else.

I have recently discovered Zazzle and am in the beginning stages of setting up multiple galleries with them.

I have also been building Squidoo lenses, with a goal of 50 lens to achieve Giant Squid status. Yes, you read that right. ;-)

I put together what is called a Lensography, which is an index lens (page) for all squidoo lenses built.

Circle Project 2

This was the second Circle Project I did. The first image really shows how it starts, with the magazine cut outs. If you look closely, you can see my pencil lines as I figure out the composition.




Voici le 2ème Project Cercle. La première image montre bien comment ça commence, avec les cercles de magazines. Regardez de pret et vous verrez mon crayon alors que je vois ma composition.

Circle Project 1

I call this the Circle Project.

I cut random circles out of magazines and newspaper, glue them on a piece of paper, and create a coherent composition from that. It's a great challenge and I really enjoy the problem solving aspect of it.

J'appelle ce project le Project Cercle.

Je découpe plusieurs cercles dans des magazines et journaux, puis en colle quelques un sur une page de papier. Il faut en suite créer une composition qui se tient d'après les bouts d'images données.

J'adore ce project, pour la simple raison d'avoir un problem à résoudre. Et puis cet amusant.

IF -Homage

This is for the IF theme Homage. Mine is to Moebius, a great influence for me and one artist I would fly around the world to see in person once in my life if I could.


When I saw this week's theme I thought of this little sketch I did a while back immediately. I dug it out and applied colors to it. I'm rather please with it like this.


Ce sketch est pour IF avec comme thème Homage. Le mien est dédié à Moebius, une grande influence pour moi, et certainement un artist que j'aimerai rencontrer en personne au moin une fois dans ma vie.

Quand j'ai vue le thème pour cette semaine, j'ai tout de suite pensé à ce dessin fais il y a quelque temp. Je l'ai vite retrouvé et appliqué un peut de couleur. J'en suis assé contente, à vrai dire.

Forest Ranger #2

I think I've got him. This project had sort of fallen by the wayside in the midst of all else. I pulled it out today with the intention of finishing it this month, and here he is: final sketch.

Je crois que c'est bon. Ce project est un peut tombé dans les oubliettes. Je l'ai resorti aujourd'hui avec l'intention d'en finir ce moi-çi. Et bien le voilà: sketch definitif.
