Directly in ink sketch done at the Durango Toasters coffee shop.
The guy came and sat down shortly after I started sketching so I included him.

Birds Vinyl Stickers
The stickers for my patrons came in yesterday! Really nice quality vinyl stickers of the 4 birds I drew last month. Black brush pen and color pencil.
I'm getting these and the postcards and the prints out in the mail this week.

Fused Plastic With Grocery Bags
This weekend I attempted to make fused plastic using grocery bags.
It was fun trying to create designs and see what comes out. I think I had the iron on a little to high and it created small holes here and there in the plastic as it shrunk under the heat.
The idea is add paper inside and make small pocket notebooks for random thoughts or notes. The plastic is the cover.
Here's the first try:

Urban Sketch Coffee Shop
I got all three books from Steven Reddy from his last Kickstarter campaign and feel inspired. His style is fun, has incredible details, and feels attainable.
I went to the coffee shop this morning to try his technique of on the spot, no-pencil, ink-only approach to drawing.
I didn't get to finish as it was time to go but plan on going back and doing the rest soon.
It was fun doing this in ink and not worrying about making anything perfect, just going with the flow.
Here's how far I got this :morning:

Meeting Notes Daily Sketch 1/30
30 Days of Drawing Challenge Round 2!
I'm starting the 30 drawing day challenge all over...
I got to drawing 17/30 for Round 1.
After day 15 or so I got the flu, was down for a week, then was too tired to work up the energy to draw the following week, finally did a couple but then the momentum was lost and I wasn't into it anymore.
By now I wouldn't feel honest about picking up the count where I left off so I'm starting over!
Same rules apply: minimum 5 minutes a day; miss a day pick up the next; miss 2 days start over.
Day 1/30: faculty meeting notes
