New Mexico landscape #5 of 5
Working on the last of this New Mexico landscape series, at least for the moment.
I wanted to make 5 watercolor paintings to present as a series. Here's the initial sketch and cleaned up, inked drawing on watercolor paper, ready for color.
As always, the finished painting is destined to my patrons, as well as the coloring page version.

Chewbacca As A Jumping Jack

And now for something completely different than my usual... a Chewbacca jumping jack!
Yep, that's right.
Teaching Art in Middle School, we did Halloween characters as jumping jacks with the 8th graders and they loved it. So I thought I'd try my hand at it too.

I'll have both the b&w version you see here and a watercolor painted version available as digital download for my patrons.
Color version coming soon. :)

Painting Away

After over 4 hours of painting, I'm just about done!
Tomorrow, I go over the entire story with ink touch up and any small details that got overlooked. Wow, it's incredible to be at this stage of the game: the home stretch!
