This is the 2nd set of my mother's watercolor, ready and framed for a coffee shop show next month.
These images will also find their way into her zazzle shop PurpleCactusPainting as I get time to do so.

Sketchbook Project page 3 Finished

I finished coloring this page last night. The previous page had some glued elements to it and this showed through while coloring -something to remember, next time I'll hold off and do the following page before gluing things down.
Not too much of a big deal though, as this is in the spirit of a sketchbook afterall.

Done in color pencil.

Last couple days of school is movie day -which makes the kids self-sufficient for the most part, and since I'm ahead of the pack with my grading, I decided to give myself time to color. Here's how far I got on this page:

Looking at it now I might add a couple details to it, like coloring the sign yellow and possibly the cat for example, or something else -not sure yet, so here it is as it is for now.

Setting Up A Show For Mom

I'm getting a bunch of my mother's watercolors ready for a show in July.
I spent the afternoon cleaning out frames and pieces of glass (even dropped on... yikes) and here is the first set.

First page started

Ok, now I can breath -the first page of the sketchbook has been drawn on. The pressure is off and we're up and running. I've got a general plan for most of the book. We'll see how things evolve.

This is the introduction page, which will be finished last, as the text will depend on what actually ends up in the book.

I signed up for the Art House Co-op Sketchbook Project World Tour 2012... that's a mouth full.

I got it a few days ago and have been playing around in my head about what I want to do in it.
